What Incoterms do you work under?

Incoterms 2020: CIF and CFR for cargoes landed at Douala / Limbé / Kribi, FOB from refinery loadport, DAP for inland CEMAC delivery, and Ex-Depot for existing SCDP stock. The applicable Incoterm, quantity tolerances and laycan are confirmed in the SPA — never by side message or WhatsApp.

At minimum: product type and specification (e.g. Gasoil 0.05% S), target quantity in MT or m³, destination port or depot, Incoterm you prefer, and laycan window. A short description of your company (buyer / end-user / trader / marketer) also speeds up the KYC pass. You can leave it vague in the first mail — the Douala desk will refine the brief with you.

Do you require a KYC pack exchange before pricing?

Yes — symmetrically. We ask for your full KYC pack and simultaneously send you ours (MINEE E1/D1 agréments, IF certificate, OHADA statutes, bank reference). No pricing moves before both sides are reviewed. This is the single most reliable filter against scam counterparties in the Central African petroleum market.

Absolutely — and we encourage it. Our registered HQ is in Sangmélima (Cameroon), our day-to-day commercial desk is in Douala-Akwa, and our International Desk sits in Dubai. Our CEMAC branch in Malabo (Equatorial Guinea) will open shortly. What volume ranges can LDMK handle?

Cargoes typically range from 2,000 MT (coastal / inland truck fleets) up to 40,000 MT (Medium-Range tanker parcels) for CIF / CFR voyages into Douala, Limbé or Kribi. We also handle ex-depot parcels from 500 m³ for marketers and institutional buyers. There is no strict upper limit — we co-load with vetted partners for very large volumes.

How are payment terms structured?

Payment is always by documentary Letter of Credit (DLC) or SBLC issued by a top-50 international bank, payable at sight or at 30/60/90 days against full compliant documents. We never accept — nor request — payments into personal bank accounts. The exact payment clause, issuing bank requirements and advising bank are confirmed inside the SPA itself, not by side message.

Which load ports and destination ports do you operate from?

Load ports include refineries and terminals in the Mediterranean, West Africa, the Persian Gulf and Singapore, depending on the product, grade and delivery window. Discharge ports in our primary footprint are Douala and Limbé (Cameroon), Kribi (for deep-draft vessels), Malabo (Equatorial Guinea), and inland depots in N’Djamena, Bangui, Libreville, Bata and Port-Gentil. We also fulfil tankage at SCDP, Tradex and SONARA-linked storage.

Question 10

How does LDMK verify quality on arrival?

Accepted Answer

Every parcel is inspected at load port and discharge port by an independent third-party surveyor (SGS, Cotecna, Bureau Veritas or Saybolt) at seller’s expense unless otherwise agreed. The Certificate of Quality (COQ) and Certificate of Quantity are part of the SPA document set and are required to draw down under the DLC. If results are off-spec beyond ASTM tolerances, the SPA demurrage / off-spec clause applies — never an ad-hoc discount.

English and French are our working languages for commercial negotiation and documentation. Spanish is available for Equatorial Guinea counterparties via our Malabo branch (opening shortly).
